Edmonton Wedding DJ at Shaw Conference Centre

This past weekend brought your Edmonton Wedding DJ to the Shaw Conference centre. While most people think of the Shaw as a venue for very large events like conferences, concerts and trade shows, they have one room that is perfect for medium sized weddings.

The Riverview room is a really nice space with an unbeatable view of the Edmonton river valley through its large windows that take up half the room. There is also a huge patio space just off the room with an equally spectacular view.

The ceremony took place out on the patio for which we provided the music and microphone for the marriage officiant. When the dinner, toasts and speeches were finally all done, it was time for dancing. The room looked terrific when you combine the view with the DJ lighting. The dance floor was kept very busy all night right up until one in the morning. It was definitely a great wedding!

I would definitely recommend this venue for any small to mid sized wedding, but don’t be surprised if your DJ is sweating a bit after he sets up. The load in is among the most difficult in the city. You have to navigate a maze of hallways to get to the freight elevator with your equipment, then after you get up to your floor there is a second maze to push your gear through. Then you get to do that in reverse at the end of the night.  Other than that it’s a great venue.
